Datapod offers a complete data center lifecycle of services which enable organisations to better plan, design, implement, deliver and maintain their critical data center infrastructure.

Data Center Installation and Consultancy Service

Datapod installation consultancy service is a key part of an overall pod deployment for Datapod scalable modular data center systems.

This service ensures the system installation prerequisites are identified and the customer ordered equipment is properly received. The result is fewer unwelcome cost or schedule oversights, and greater visibility and control of the project.

Installation Consultancy Service

Note:This is a site coordination service and not a project management service. For those customers who do not have an internal or contracted project manager, project management is a separate service offered by Datapod. This service is to be bundled as a mandatory inclusion in the rent, lease or purchase of any Datapod system.

 

Data Center Site Preparation Service

The site preparation service provides a follow-up to the Installation Consultancy Service, where the customer is presented with a proposed scope of works, along with a detailed quotation for the supply of the services required to upgrade the proposed site in advance of delivery of the Datapod System.

The main works will usually incorporate:

  1. Site leveling
  2. Electrical services
  3. Mechanical services

Other site specific works may be required depending upon the site. This is an optional Datapod service. The preparation work may be carried out by the customer or their agents.

 

Datapod Assembly Service

Datapod assembly service is a key part of an overall pod deployment. This service provides the certified Datapod engineers needed to quickly and efficiently assemble your Datapod System. The result provides the customer with the assurance the Pod system has been installed properly and to Datapod specifications. This service is part of a complete suite of installation project services offered by Datapod.

Pod Assembly Service

In the Datapod pod installation project methodology there are a number of process activities that must take place and may be performed by Datapod, the customer, or the customer's contractor, according to the preference of the customer.

Datapod can provide any or all of these services. However, for customers that intend to do any of these steps themselves, the Pod Assembly Service described in this statement of work is highly recommended to ensure that the work is performed to manufacturer’s specifications.

This service is to be bundled as a mandatory inclusion in the rent, lease or purchase of any Datapod system.

 

External Mechanical Connection Service

The external mechanical connections service provides the customer with correct Mechanical connection of the Pod system to the locally positioned Datapod Utilitypod, third party chiller plant or base-building chilled water take-off point provided during the site preparation service. Pipe routing from this point to the mechanical input assembly on the Datapod System will be the responsibility of the Datapod field service engineers or their approved Datapod certified sub-contractors.

This service is to be bundled as a mandatory inclusion in the rent, lease or purchase of any Datapod System.

 

Internal Electrical Connection Service

The internal electrical connection service provides the customer with correct electrical connection between the Pod systems’ electrical connection sub-assembly (internal distribution board) and the internal three phase UPS. cable routing between these two points will be installed, and all connections tested and labeled, enabling activation and commissioning of the UPS system.

Internal Mechanical Connection Service

The internal mechanical connections service provides the customer with correct mechanical connection of the chilled water supply to the distribution manifold within the pod system.

As a two-stage service, pipe routing from the mechanical input assembly on the Datapod System to the distribution manifold will be undertaken prior to deployment and is the responsibility of the Datapod field service engineers or their approved Datapod certified sub-contractors.

Upon completion, the connection will be pressure tested, and the pipework insulation installed. This final testing stage of the service is conducted onsite once the Pod system has been fully connected.

Internal Mechanical Connection Service

This service is to be bundled as a mandatory inclusion in the rent, lease or purchase of any Datapod System.

 

Datapod Startup Service

Datapod Onsite Pod Start-Up Service is a key part of the overall deployment of a modular Datapod data center system.



This service provides the certified Datapod field service staff needed to assemble and check the functionality of your Datapod System. This service provides the customer with the assurance that the Datapod System has been Started-Up according to Datapod standards and specifications.

In the Datapod installation project methodology there are a number of process activities that must take place which may be performed either by Datapod, the customer, or the customer's contractor, according to the preference of the customer.

Datapod can provide any or all of these services. However, for customers that intend to do any of these steps themselves, the Pod Start-Up Service described in this statement of work remains a compulsory service provided for all Datapod installation projects.

 

Data Center Onsite Support

The Datapod onsite support service offering provides remedial repairs as well as one scheduled preventive maintenance service visit during the agreement year.

1.1 ON-SITE REMEDIAL SERVICES
Datapod will dispatch authorised personnel to provide repairs in the event of a problem. Parts, labour and travel costs (remote and major metro areas) are included.

The onsite service from Datapod is available in three different configurations that allow the customer to determine how quickly the service technician will arrive on-site. next business day is the standard onsite offering and includes an annual preventive maintenance visit.

Datapod offers ‘Next Day’ and ‘four-hour’ onsite response upgrades. A four hour on-site response is available on a 7x24 basis, including weekends and holidays. (Not available in all locations. Please consult with Datapod for coverage in your area).

1.2 ANNUAL PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE VISIT
Included as part of the Datapod onsite support service, the annual preventive maintenance visit provides a comprehensive visual, environmental and electronic inspection of the Datapod System to ensure that components are performing to defined technical and environmental specifications. This service includes all labour and travel expenses.

The onsite support service is included within the price of any Datapod System component for a period of one year, extendable on an annual basis.

 

Pod Camouflaging or Branding Service

Datapod camouflaging and branding service is an optional extra to any pod deployment.

This service allows the customer to select a custom specific exterior paint service to hide or blend the Pod into its new environment.

Customers may choose from a traditional ‘battlefield’ multi-coloured camouflaging or colour scheme to match their brand, workplace or campus environment.
