The 2014 ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards will be launched at the factory of successful IT exporter, Datapod, on 30 April 2014.
Datapod is a previous winner at the 2012 ACT Chief Minister’s Award for small to medium business in the manufacturing sector and is honoured to be the host for the launch of the 2014 Awards.
Datapod manufactures modular data centers from their Fyshwick and Hume factories and exports to the Asia- Pacific, Europe and North America with arrangements in place to begin exporting to the Middle East, Africa and South America in the next 12 months.
According to a latest market research by MarketsandMarkets the modular data center industry is expected to reach $40.41 billion by 2018 at a CAGR of 37.41% by 2018.
Datapod Chief Executive Officer Scott Carr said, “The emergence of the modular data center approach has revolutionised the way data centers are planned, developed and constructed, turning the ‘snowflake’ traditional bricks and mortar approach on its head. This new approach represents a significant opportunity for Datapod in export markets around the globe.”
